The vast majority of small business owners, entrepreneurs and successful sales people don’t have a networking system in place. Many may spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on social media and other impersonable marketing. I have found that being a member of “BNI”, Business Networking International is the perfect formula for me to help build my portfolio. BNI practices “Givers Gain”. This means that I do my best to give business to other BNI members and in turn, I will see my own business and portfolio expand. I have only been a BNI member for 7 months and it may have taken some time for my BNI “Buddies” to learn to trust me as their chapter’s Property Manager, just as it took time for me to trust my BNI Buddies. In time, the opportunity to shake hands, look a person in the eye and see their smile when I refer them business, is much better than an impersonable marketing strategy.
